Where your case stands
A family law case follows a familiar path: filing, service, temporary orders, the exchange of financial information, settlement efforts, and, if it comes to it, trial. The case status page shows where your case is on that path, the court and judge, and every court date and deadline ahead of you, each with the rule or order that sets it.

Why you only see checked dates
A deadline in the wrong place is worse than no deadline at all. So a date reaches your portal only after our office has compared it with the court's order. Until then, the portal tells you that a date is being confirmed, rather than showing you one that might be wrong. And if a date doesn't match a paper you received, every item has an “Ask about this” link.
Your bill, line by line
Your retainer is held in a client trust account, and the work on your case is paid from it. The bill lists every line in date order: each payment, each expense, and each piece of work, with who did it and how long it took. Your trust balance is shown after every line, so nothing is a surprise at the end of the month. When a payment is needed to bring the account back to your retainer, the overview says so, and you can pay online.
